A picture of me while I was on a site visit to the National Training Center (NTC) in 1998. The U.S. Army runs this training center to provide a realistic experience for desert training against Soviet style units. Our unit had performed the mission of the dismounted Soviet infantry at the NTC before and we did so again in 1999. I am pictured next to a HMMWV modified to look like a Soviet BRDM scout vehicle.
