The reserve component Infantry Officer Advanced Course is correspondence course number 071 A11.
Objective. To prepare commissioned officers of the Reserve Component who are not on active duty to command at company level.
Eligibility. RC commissioned officers of the rank first lieutenant or higher who have completed an officer basic course and whose branch is infantry or are on orders for an infantry assignment. To enroll, send DA Form 145 to AIPD, along with a copy of your OBC diploma, and (if not infantry branch) a copy of the orders assigning you to an infantry position, or a copy of a request for branch transfer approved at ARPERCEN (IMA/IRR), USARC (TPU), or NGB (NG) pending completion of educational requirements.
Phase I. Correspondence. Must be completed before attending Phase II.
Phase II. 2 weeks resident training conducted at the Infantry School.
