Specialist Peter K. Bowden is a Virginia Army National Guard soldier assigned to Company C, 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry, 29th Infantry Division (Light), which will deploy later this month to serve with the NATO Stabilization Force in Bosnia. Company C, based in Leesburg, Va., is the first National Guard infantry company to mobilize and deploy as a company for an overseas operation since the Vietnam War, when a Ranger company was activated.
A composite unit from the 29th Division and active Army units previously served with the Multinational Force and Observers in the Sinai.
